Cheftrapps has its origins and started business in California in 2002.

Known as The Slip Resistant and Safety Shoe Company, Cheftrapps specialises in research and development, footwear design, manufacture and importing of industry related footwear.

In maintaining international standards Cheftrapps is a member of SATRA which is the foremost European testing authority of footwear. Cheftrapps also works closely with testing laboratories in Virginia and Nashville USA; all product is tested under strict laboratory conditions and its standards fall within international levels of compliance and acceptability.

An International Company, Cheftrapps established itself in South Africa in 2004 and now supplies several industries throughout South Africa such as the hospitality industry; food and beverage industry, general industrial, foundries, hospitals and clinics, safety and security, agriculture, outdoor safety and hiking, farming and forestry. .

Cheftrapps is distributed nationally via selected distributors or through its own distribution – the Company does not market or sell to end users themselves.

Our hospitality and related industry products are specifically designed in order to guard against injury caused by slips and falls in the work place. Outsole design and composition is highly specialised which makes them Slip Resistant in accordance with exceedingly high standards conducted in specialist laboratories.

Cheftrapps does not market or manufacture non-slip shoes as these simply do not exist. Cheftrapps shoes are slip resistant and the company will guarantee and stand by its product provided it is used within its intended work related conditions.

Many of our steel toe shoes are CE ISO approved and contain such features as are deemed essential in European and American markets.
